Training Plan - Week 20 - May 11 to 17


Saturday I am doing another marshalling job. This time for the King of the Mountain 100-mile sportive. That should give me a rest day.

Tuesday I am going to miss the Deeside Time Trial as it clashes with an Energy Institute presentation.  So I have left it as a bike or run day depending on the weather. 

The rest of the week is fairly standard. I have overloaded it again, partly to allow for any cancellations for weather, or interviews, but partly just because I should be doing more with all my free time. 

No speed biking target this week. Speed swimming is coming in though. I want to do the same 4x400m session as last week but get in under 30 minutes this time. And a run speed target needs to come in here somewhere. I haven't decided which reps session to do, so any of my previous sessions but with faster reps will do as a target for this week. I need to do some speed work before doing a track event next weekend. 

Monday - Easy run.
Swim with TPT.

Tuesday - Easy bike or run, depends on weather. 
Yoga session.

Wednesday - Reps run. 
Longer swim. 
Weights and core sessions.

Thursday - Kintore Midweek. 
Stretching session.

Friday - Easy run.
Wedding.

Saturday - Marshalling at KOM Sportive
Yoga session and stretching session.

Sunday - Kintore Sunday.

Target totals - Swim 2.4 miles. Bike 35.0 miles. Run 13.0 miles. 2 short core, 1 short light weights and 2 short stretching sessions. 60 mins of yoga.
